About the Great Tyrian Adventure
From the team that produced the Battle for Badlands in Warhammer Online and the Telara Saga of RIFT comes the fifth season of the Great Tyrian Adventure in Guild Wars 2. This large scale public community event will take players on a 10-week journey across Tyria rewarding them with achievements, epic loot, and raffle prizes.
Originally created as a large scale event on the Sanctum of Rall server it has since grown to include all players on all servers within Guild Wars 2. It has become a living tribute to Roger "Oldroar" Rall and a hallmark of the Sanctum of Rall server.
Season One began during February of 2013 and spanned a whopping 26 weeks. During the adventure Tyrian forces marched across Tyria taking on ferocious foes and unraveling mysterious plots. More than 500 people attended this event.
Season Two launched September of 2013 and took the focus to Guild Missions by creating a shell guild "Sanctum of Rall Events" where all could join and receive credit for the events. This time we shortened the length to 14-weeks and more than 310 attendees enjoyed a prize pool of over 200 items.
For Season Three we upped the ante creating our largest most ambitious Public Community Event to date. Season 3, dubbed "Legendary Edition", launched January 11th 2014 and featured events 4 times a week over the course of 12 weeks. The Gaiscioch also created 9 Legendary Weapons to award participants. This event drew more than 800 people to the series and was wildly successful.
After 3 years, the Gaisciochbrought the Great Tyrian Adventure back in 2017 with the launch of Path of Fire. Over the course of the 10-week public community event players explored the secret side of Tyria and faced off with some of the more formidable foes.
In our 5th Season, launching in 2019, we will be taking to the battlefield of the Living World Season 4 in this two Chapter Great Tyrian Adventure. Chapter one begins in January 2019 with Chapter two expected fall 2019.
